Tropical Mango and Papaya Smoothie

Today I'm going to go ahead with a smoothie, because who doesn't love a smoothie?! One of my favourites is a mango and papaya smoothie, lots of exotic flavours mixed together, so yum!

I've got to admit that this is the first time I've ever had passion fruit. I randomly came across it and thought: yep, today's the day I buy it! I didn't even know the outer shell was not edible, I was planning on using the seeds in the smoothie and just eating the rest. It's a good thing I googled it and found out before I had it! And just incase you haven't had it before either, it was harder cutting into the shell than I thought it would be, and it has a pretty strong smell and taste for such a small fruit!

Anyways, this smoothie reminds me of a hot summer day so all the more reason to have it! Who drinks for nutrients anyways? (definitely me from now on)

So, for my first recipe I decided to do a healthy salad. I absolutely love it, it's so easy to make and really tasty. The inspiration behind it: a potato salad! One day I was originally making a potato salad and then I just tossed in a few extra ingredients and subbed the mayo for yogurt (because I had no mayo left) and done! I couldn't quite decide on what beans to use but I've made the right choice because those kidney beans with those broad beans make such a good combo. I've only made it a few times and it's already become a family favourite!

Here's to a New Start


Hello, welcome to my blog!

I'm on a mission, I've been at it for years without much success but I am not giving up! My mission? To become a healthier person, and I don't want to go through this journey alone. This blog is going to help me and hopefully you too to take that step forward and make that change.

It's such a struggle in this time and age to go for the more healthy options when it's easier to eat a burger rather than a salad. Don't you agree? And having a busy life doesn't exactly help, I find myself struggling - opting for a jam sandwich everyday, picking up biscuits and having those sleepless nights. I can feel the energy slipping away from me...

Here I'll be putting simple, tasty and healthy recipes.

So let's do this together, I help you and you help me :)
